Winter Solstice, also knows as Midwinter's Day and the shortest day of the year, is a season when everyone comes together. From neolithic times through the ages, this is a period for celebration and holiday, and in many parts of the United States snow veils the countryside and mountains like a soft pillow of peace and rejuvenation, indicating a fresh start on the new year. This program celebrates that fresh start with a blending of the instrumental grace of Steinway artist Gary Jess and the brilliant high definition images of Jim and Kelly Watt.
